قال كريغ كونسيدين عن عالم المناعة أنتوني فوسي والدكتور سانجاي غوبتا قولهم، إن “النظافة الصحية الجيدة والحجر الصحي، أو ممارسة العزل عن الآخرين على أمل منع انتشار الأمراض المعدية، هي أكثر الأدوات فعالية لاحتواء فيروس كورونا”.
ووجه سؤالاً: “هل تعرفون من اقترح أيضاً النظافة الصحية والحجر الصحي أثناء الوباء؟”، مجيباً على ذلك بالقول: “إنه محمد، نبي الإسلام، قبل 1300 عام”، لافتاً إلى أن النبي لم يكن أبداً خبيراً في مسائل الأمراض الفتاكة إلا أنه كانت لديه نصيحة رائعة لمنع ومكافحة تطور وباء مثل فيروس كورونا”.
وأضاف التقرير: “النبي محمد قال: إذا ما سمعتم بانتشار الطاعون بأرض ما لا تدخلوها، أما إذا انتشر الطاعون في مكان خلال تواجدك فيه فلا تغادر هذا المكان.. وقال أيضاً: المصابون بأمراض معدية يجب إبقاؤهم بعيداً عن الآخرين الأصحاء”.
وألقى التقرير الضوء على أن “النبي محمد أيضاً شجع بقوة البشر على الالتزام بالنظافة الشخصية التي ستبقي الناس في مأمن من العدوى.. انظروا للأحاديث هذه: النظافة جزء من الإيمان.. اغسل يديك بعد استيقاظك من النوم فلا تعلم أين تحركت يداك خلال نومك.. بركة الطعام تكمن في غسل اليدين قبل وبعد الأكل”.
وتساءل الكاتب: “ماذا لو مرض شخص ما؟ ما نوع النصيحة التي سيقدمها النبي محمد إلى إخوانه من البشر الذين يعانون من الألم؟”.
وأجاب بأنه “سيشجع الناس على السعي دائماً للحصول على العلاج الطبي والأدوية، وذلك في حديثه، أنه ما من داء إلا أنزل الله له دواء باستثناء مرض واحد وهو الشيخوخة”.
ولفت إلى أن النبي محمد – صلى الله عليه وسلم – كان يعرف متى يوازن بين الإيمان والعقل (الأخذ بالأسباب)، مناقشاً ما طرحه البعض بأن “الصلاة ستكون أفضل لإبقائك آمناً من فيروس كورونا، بدلاً من الالتزام بتعليمات الحجر الصحي”.
واستشهد بأن رد النبي عليه السلام جاء في حديثه إلى الأعرابي الذي ترك جمله دون ربطه، وسأله عن ذلك فأجاب الأعرابي “أنا أثق بالله”، لكن النبي طلب منه أن يربط جمله ثم يتوكل على الله، في إشارة إلى وجوب الأخذ بالأسباب.
وختم الكاتب بالقول: “شجع النبي محمد الناس على التماس الإرشاد في دينهم، لكنه أعرب عن أمله في أن يتخذوا إجراءات احترازية أساسية لاستقرار الجميع وضمان سلامتهم ورفاههم”.

The report highlighted that “the Prophet Muhammad also strongly encouraged people to adhere to personal hygiene that will keep people safe from infection .. Look at these hadiths: Cleanliness is part of faith..Wash your hands after you wake up, so you do not know where your hands moved during your sleep .. The blessing of food lies in washing hands before and after eating.
“What if someone gets sick?” Asked the author. What kind of advice would the Prophet Muhammad give to his fellow human beings who are in pain?
He replied that “he will encourage people to always seek medical treatment and medicine, and that in his speech, that there is no disease but God has revealed a cure for it except for one disease, which is old age.”
He pointed out that the Prophet Muhammad – may God bless him and grant him peace – knew when to balance faith and reason (adopting reasons), discussing what some have suggested that “prayer will be better to keep you safe from the Corona virus, rather than adhering to quarantine instructions.”
He cited that the response of the Prophet, peace be upon him, came in his hadith to the Bedouin who left his sentences without tying them, and he asked him about that.
The writer concluded by saying: “The Prophet Muhammad encouraged people to seek guidance in their religion, but he expressed his hope that they would take basic precautionary measures to stabilize everyone and ensure their safety and well-being.”
